OUR MENU

Ceremonial Matcha

Our ceremonial matcha is single-origin, organic matcha sourced from Kagoshima, Japan.

The tea plants are shade-grown for several weeks before harvest, helping develop the vibrant green colour, natural sweetness and rich umami flavour associated with high-quality Japanese matcha. The leaves are harvested during the first spring picking, rested and slowly stone-ground into a fine powder.

We prepare every matcha to order and serve it hot or iced with your choice of milk.

The Karak Chai & Masala Chai

Chai sits at the heart of Chai Haus. We serve both Karak Chai and Masala Chai, two distinct takes on spiced tea with roots across South Asia and beyond.

Our Karak is rich, creamy and comforting, made with Assam tea, cardamom and cinnamon for a bold, sweet and full-bodied cup.

Our Masala Chai is more aromatic and spice-forward, combining premium black tea with cinnamon, clove, star anise, black pepper and ginger, naturally sweetened with pure Australian honey. It is slowly brewed with milk to give the spices time to properly infuse, creating a warming chai with depth rather than relying on flavoured syrups.

Our Coffee

Shogun is a medium roast blend designed particularly well for milk-based coffees, with rich flavours of milk chocolate, malt and praline, alongside a smooth, full-bodied finish.

We chose it because it has enough depth to stand up beautifully in flat whites, cappuccinos and lattes, while remaining smooth and balanced as an espresso or iced coffee.

Whether you’re stopping in for your morning flat white or an afternoon iced latte, we take our coffee just as seriously as our chai and matcha.

Seasonal Matcha

Alongside our core menu, we create a new seasonal matcha every month, using fruits and flavours that reflect the time of year.

Expect drinks built around ingredients such as peach, strawberry and other seasonal produce, often with subtle South Asian influences. The flavour changes monthly, so there is always something new to try.

If you’re searching for matcha in Horsham, our seasonal menu is one of the best reasons to keep coming back.

The Guest Chai

Every so often, we introduce a Guest Chai to the menu.

This gives us the chance to explore how chai is prepared across different regions, countries and communities, experimenting with different teas, spice blends and preparation styles.

Some will be familiar, others a little more unusual, but each Guest Chai is designed to tell a different story about one of the world’s most-loved drinks.

Keep an eye on our menu and Instagram to see what we are brewing next.

Homemade Snacks, Cakes & Pastries

Alongside our drinks, we serve a changing selection of homemade savoury snacks and locally baked cakes and pastries. Our savoury menu takes inspiration from South Asian flavours, with favourites including homemade samosas and onion bhajis, perfect as a quick lunch, snack or something alongside a cup of chai.

For something sweet, we work with local independent bakers to keep our counter stocked with a rotating selection of fresh bakes. Depending on the day, you might find chai-spiced cakes, cinnamon buns, cookies, carrot cake, pistachio croissants and other seasonal treats.

The selection changes regularly, allowing us to support local bakers, experiment with new flavours and keep something different on the counter throughout the year. Pair one with a matcha, chai or coffee — and come early if you have your eye on a favourite, as our most popular bakes often sell out.
